Technical Advice

With over 25 years of experience Garland Mountaineering offer a wide range of technical advice services to ensure the safe running of your outdoor organisation.

We work with a variety of companies ranging from small adventure travel companies through to large multi-activity organisations.

Agreements range from a one-off training days to ongoing staff training and qualifications. All supported with detailed reports and Statements of Competence where appropriate. Assisting with compliance paperwork is also available. This includes policies, procedures, risk management and staff handbooks.

Bespoke training for your staff in climbing, mountaineering and coasteering, surfing and mountain biking

Statements of Competence

Get independent competence verification for your staff on your sites across a range of activities

Safety Systems

Review all of your safety systems such as emergency response process, kit checks, staff training and more

Risk Assessments

We can help write and develop your Risk Assessments so they are appropriate for your organisation.

Policies & Procedures

From safeguarding policies to internal staff sign off procedures to standard operating procedures

Assessment Coaching

If your organisation is going for particular outdoor accreditation IE AALS, LOTC or BAPA we are able help your organisation prepare for assessment

Mark is also a moderator for the National Indoor Climbing Award  Scheme. So if your thinking of providing this award at your school or centre, talk to us about becoming a NICAS Primary or Secondary centre.
